Sahara

Wanderlust and desert dust.

Materials: acrylic paint, modeling paste, sand, crackle paste & gold leaf

Hand-framed – 200 x 100 cm

This piece was inspired by the cracked, sun-dried surface of the desert. I used modeling paste, sand and crackle paste to build a tactile, layered structure that mimics the texture of weathered earth.

A subtle green line runs through the center, adding contrast and movement, while gold leaf highlights the middle section, catching the light like sunlight over sand.

Warm beige tones make this painting a calm, grounding presence in any interior. Finished with a handcrafted wooden frame for a refined, natural look.
